How We Win: Defeating the Extremist Threat

March 04, 2020

Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations events are for CCFR members only.

Despite the ongoing war on terror and the billions of dollars spent in the United States’ attempts to defeat terrorist organizations, the global threat of extremist groups remains. This threat undermines U.S. efforts abroad and has a negative impact on the stability of many regions. How can governments around the world shift their policies to reduce extremist violence and stop the spread of terrorist movements? Join us on March 4, as Farah Pandith from the Council on Foreign Relations dives into new ways to counter extremism. In her new book, How We Win, Pandith presents strategies and methods to combat extremism by mobilizing leaders, diplomats, and global youth.

Farah Pandith is an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations. Pandith was a political appointee in the George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama Administrations and previously served on the secretary of homeland security’s homeland security advisory council. She is the author of the recently released book, How We Win: How Cutting-Edge Entrepreneurs, Political Visionaries, Enlightened Business Leaders, and Social Media Mavens Can Defeat the Extremist Threat. Copies of her book will be available for purchase at the event.

Location: The Union Club, Wedgwood Room.
