Event begins at 6:15 PM, Doors open 5:45 PM
The Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations (CCFR) is exclusive to Diplomat and Ambassador members and their guests. An email with registration information will be sent to eligible members on Thursday, October 16.
CCFR is honored to host Ambassador Michelle Gavin, Ralph Bunche senior fellow for Africa policy studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, to discuss Sudan’s ongoing civil war and humanitarian crisis. Drawing upon her experiences as a former senior director for Africa at the National Security Council, Ambassador Gavin will explain the national and international dynamics that have fanned the flames of civil war and created one of the world’s most devastating humanitarian crises. She will explore how many of the guard rails established by the rules-based international system have been eroded throughout the conflict, and what this signals to the international community.
The Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations is a dinner and dialogue series that provides unparalleled access to top experts and diplomats for candid discussions of today’s most pressing international issues. Participation is exclusive to Diplomat and Ambassador members and their guests. To join, renew, or upgrade your membership, please click here.
