Join CCWA for a series of webinars focused on current developments in international trade and economics. Designed for a business audience, but open to all, webinars will cover the relevant legal and regulatory context, recent and ongoing developments, risks and opportunities, and why this topic is relevant to the Cleveland community.
Some of Northeast Ohioβs most important industries, including automotive, aerospace, and industrial and manufacturing materials, have been targeted by the U.S. government for enforcement of trade laws banning the import of goods made with forced labor. More than $3.7 billion in goods have been stopped at the U.S. border since the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act went into effect in 2022, and the Trump Administration has emphasized its intent to continue enforcement. What do Cleveland-area companies need to know about this and similar laws, and where is this effort headed?
This program is the third session of a four-part webinar series. Interested in signing up for all four webinar sessions at a discounted rate? Visit the first sessions webpage (click here) to do so!
