Drawing upon her experiences as the Deputy Secretary General of NATO from 2016 to 2019, Ms. Gottemoeller will analyze how European nations are being forced to reassess their roles in regard to their national and regional security. She will examine the ways in which Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues to inform and influence Europe’s relationship with the U.S., and the ramifications of a more isolationist U.S. policy towards the continent.
