Ambassador William Burns, President of the Carnegie Endowment for Peace, spoke for the Cleveland Council on World Affairs in March of 2020 about the importance of diplomacy and cooperation, as well as current international and domestic challenges. Ambassador Burns has over three decades of experience as an American diplomat and recently released his new book, ‘The Back Channel: A Memoir of American Diplomacy and the Case for its Renewal.’
