Please email jconnell@ccwa.org to be placed on a waiting list. \nThe Cleveland Council on World Affairs is hosting a private\, members-only luncheon with Michael Weidokal\, Founder and Executive Director of International Strategic Analysis (ISA). To kick off the luncheon conversation\, Mr. Weidokal will provide a brief analysis of his 2025 global economic forecast before opening up to guest questions in an open dialogue format. \nMichael Weidokal’s ability to combine international economics\, geopolitics\, and history allows him to have a unique perspective on global developments. His areas of expertise include the fields of international economic competitiveness\, global market selection\, and geopolitical risk assessment.  Over the course of his career\, Mr. Weidokal has worked with a number of major professional services firms and multinational organizations\, helping them to develop models of maximizing the benefits while minimizing the risks of doing business in international markets. In 2003\, he founded International Strategic Analysis (ISA)\, and his firm quickly became the leading provider of country intelligence\, economic forecasting\, and international market studies for a range of clients around the world\, including Amazon\, Lockheed Martin\, Ford\, Siemens\, and FedEx. \nMr. Weidokal has regularly spoken at CCWA\, and this private luncheon format has previously been very successful. DESCRIPTION:The Cleveland Council on World Affairs is honored to host Frank Sullivan for the Dr. Raj and Karen Aggarwal Forum on International Business. \nIn a world where marketplace circumstances change rapidly\, it is vital that global companies are prepared to shift and pivot their businesses accordingly. The shelf life of good strategies and practices is as short as its ever been. Whether due to recession\, pandemic\, or technological revolution\, practices that traditionally worked may suddenly prove to be detrimental\, and ideas that were outlandish become commonplace. How do companies set themselves up for success in a “volatile\, uncertain\, complex\, and ambiguous” (VUCA) world? \nFrank Sullivan\, chairman and chief executive officer of RPM International\, joins CCWA in an effort to answer this challenging question. Drawing upon over 20 years of experience leading RPM International\, Mr. Sullivan will discuss how he has sought to position the $7.3 billion\, multinational company for success in the short\, medium\, and long terms. SUMMARY:Dinner Hosting: U.S. Higher Education Partnerships
DESCRIPTION:CCWA is looking for internationally minded individuals and families to host international exchange participants for dinner on Friday\, April 4. \nParticipants are in Cleveland on an exchange project called Local Government Strategies for Promoting Economic Growth and Development. Participants are from Italy. This project is part of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitors Leadership Program. \nDinner Hosting FAQ \nNo need for an elaborate multi-course meal. Dinner does not need to be expensive and can be done as easily as you’d like. A potluck or a catered meal are also possibilities. Schedule pending\, a weekend brunch or lunch may also be arranged.\nThe more the merrier. You’re welcome to invite family members or friends to help welcome your international guests.\nWho’s coming to dinner? Groups range from 2 – 5 visitors—an interpreter may be included\, too. Background information will be provided typically one week in advance. This includes visitor name\, profession\, and dietary restrictions. \nSign me up!
