DESCRIPTION:CCWA’s Academic WorldQuest Competition \nAcademic WorldQuest is a national competition in which teams of high school students test their knowledge of international affairs\, U.S. foreign policy\, and current events. Teams compete over 10 rounds of questioning for the grand prize of representing Northern Ohio in the National Competition held in Washington\, D.C. in April. \nOur local Northern Ohio competition was held on Thursday\, January 17\, 2019. The Cleveland Council on World Affairs would like to congratulate and recognize the winners of this year’s Academic WorldQuest competition: \nFirst Place Team: Hathaway Brown  \nSecond Place Team: Mayfield High School  \nThird Place Team: St. Joseph’s Academy  \nThe first place Hathaway Brown Team with Advisor\, Mr. Michael Ciuni\, and CCWA’s CEO Ms. Carina Van Vliet \nThe first place team advances to the National Academic WorldQuest competition to be held in Washington\, DC from April 26-27\, 2019.  The competition is sponsored by the World Affairs Councils of America and participants will enjoy a weekend of national competition activities.
