DESCRIPTION:The 2020-2021 Foreign Policy Forum Series is presented by Hitachi Healthcare Americas. \nOur community partner for this forum is The American Red Cross of Northeast Ohio.  \nThis past year more than ever\, we have learned that not all disasters are limited by national borders. Whether COVID-19\, climate change\, or political unrest\, when international disasters occur around the world it impacts Americans here at home. The U.S. Government is the world’s leading donor of humanitarian assistance\, reaching millions of people around the globe with life-saving aid every year. Its work is a demonstration of American values\, strengthens U.S. national security\, and helps the American economy. With all of this in mind\, how will the Biden Administration focus on aligning its humanitarian work with its domestic priorities? \n \n  \nThe Cleveland Council on World Affairs is proud to host a Foreign Policy Forum with Neilesh Shelat from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for a conversation on U.S. humanitarian policy.
