Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative
October 9, 2017 - November 5, 2017
The YLAI Professional Fellowship Program will bring 250 business and social entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean to the United States in October 2017, to collaborate with their counterparts in businesses and civil society organizations in 24 cities across the United States. As one of these 24 “City Hubs,” Cleveland will welcome 10 fellows from Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago and place them with local businesses as “Entrepreneurs-in-Residence.” Fellows will also engage with local business leaders through Entrepreneurship Institute Days and participate in a pitch competition. At the end of their program, fellows will reconvene in Washington, D.C. to compete in a national pitch competition and share their experiences from their City Hub placements. Select fellowship hosts will participate in an outbound exchange in their fellows’ home countries following the program.
For further information about the program or to learn how to get involved in the program, contact Program Officer Katie Ferman at kferman@ccwa.ccwa.org or (216) 255-9006.
