U.S. Best Practices in Promoting Business Development

Business leaders, entrepreneurs, startup promoters, and government and economic officials from Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and Sao Tome and Principe will travel to the U.S. to examine entrepreneurship support programs and small business development at the federal, state, and local level. A program in Cleveland will expose visitors to effective startup incubators at local nonprofits and college campuses in addition to local government programs to support finance of business opportunities. While in town, visitors will connect to U.S. culture through Memorial Day activities and home hospitality dinners with local families.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
