The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Promoting STEM Education

March 29, 2015 - April 2, 2015

Cleveland will host 6 leaders from Belarus for discussions about how governmental and educational institutions in the United States work with private sector partners to improve and upgrade the status of STEM fields.  Discussions will focus on how to best prepare students with skills for a changing economy and highlight effective undergraduate and graduate STEM education programs, how universities are increasing and sustaining public and youth engagement with STEM.

International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program

Each year, over 250 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields.  Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.

By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Ryan Ouellette, International Visitors Program Officer, at rouellette@ccwa.org or click here.  To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
