Technology in Theater in the U.S.

July 28, 2018 - August 1, 2018

Belarussian cultural and performing arts leaders will explore Cleveland’s nationally renowned theater and arts institutions to gain insight into the role of American theater as a platform for expression. As Cleveland boasts the second largest theater district in the United States, visitors will have the opportunity to discuss strategies that Playhouse Square utilizes to attract and engage its audience. In addition to an in depth look at Playhouse Square, visitors will also tour Cleveland Public Theatre, Karamu House, and Dobama Theatre.

International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program

Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.

By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
