Regional Revitalization through Entrepreneurship and Innovation

November 12, 2014 - November 14, 2014

This project, with 9 representatives from the Czech Republic, will focus on a broad and balanced range of perspectives for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the United States. The group will look at the “Cleveland Model” of how to foster innovation and creativity, commercialization of academic and scientific research, and the work of innovation centers (such as Fab Labs) and how they provide stimulus for entrepreneurship and the economy at the local level.

For daily updates on the group’s activities, follow us on Twitter at @CleWorldAffairs.

International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program

Each year, over 250 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their respective fields.  Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.

By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Ryan Ouellette, International Visitors Program Officer, at or click here.  To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here
