Regional Health Challenges: Research and Remedies
August 16, 2017 - August 22, 2017
From August 16 – 22, eight doctors, researchers, government officials, and NGO leaders from the Middle East and North Africa will have the opportunity to examine Cleveland’s world-class health care resources and hospitals. In order to promote international cooperation in the global health community, this program will address innovations in medical technology, public health programs for women and children, and the contributions underway in infectious disease research. By addressing health care challenges and the efforts to advance health and wellness, visitors and health officials in Cleveland will gain critical perspectives on global health issues.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
