Public Health in the U.S.
May 1, 2016 - May 5, 2016
The Cleveland Council on World Affairs will be welcoming visitors from the People’s Republic of China for the program “Public Health in the U.S.” Through their visit to Cleveland, visitors will learn about best practices regarding STD treatment, advocacy, and inclusive employment; social marketing and public health advertising; and university research and education.
Cleveland’s extensive spectrum of medical resources and innovation makes this city the perfect destination for visitors with a focus on public health. This visit to Cleveland will include meetings with officials from the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, Neighborhood Family Practice, and several world-renowned medical institutions and university medical programs.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 250 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
