Jóvenes en Acción – Host a Student from Mexico
July 18, 2017 - July 30, 2017

The Cleveland Council on World Affairs is seeking internationally-minded families to host high-achieving high school students from Mexico! Students will engage in programming focused on entrepreneurship, the environment, and empowering tomorrow’s leaders.
The students are in Cleveland as a part of Jóvenes en Acción (Youth in Action) program that provides high school students from Mexico the opportunity to spend one month in the United States to build leadership, communication, English language, and community engagement skills. Participants engage in workshops, community service activities, meetings with community leaders, and site visits. The program includes a homestay. Participants return home mobilized to implement service projects in their home communities. This program is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of State, the Mexican government, and the private sector.
