International Careers Networking Night: Presented by Cleveland Council on World Affairs & Summer on the Cuyahoga

Please join the Cleveland Council on World Affairs and Summer on the Cuyahoga as we present a free informal networking event and dessert reception for interns interested in international careers in the Foreign Service, the Peace Corps and beyond.
CCWA President and Ambassador Heather Hodges will provide an overview of the Foreign Service as she shares her career, including her service as the U.S. Ambassador to Ecuador and Moldova. The U.S. Department of State offers worldwide career opportunities providing an experience where you will connect with the global community, conduct diplomacy by communicating U.S. foreign policy, and explore different cultures while living and working overseas.
Danny Livengood, the Northern Ohio Regional Recruiter for the Peace Corps, will give an overview of joining the Peace Corps and discuss the opportunity to work internationally through the organization. The Peace Corps has been a leader in international development and citizen diplomacy for more than 50 years across more than 140 countries.
Bill Baddour, FACHE, MBA, CPA, Senior Director, International Operations, Cleveland Clinic will give an overview of working internationally for the private sector and what skills companies look for in qualified candidates for overseas jobs. Mr. Baddour will also discuss the international operations of the Cleveland Clinic and what international job opportunities exist through the Clinic.
