International Careers Networking Night: Presented by Cleveland Council on World Affairs & Summer on the Cuyahoga

Please join the Cleveland Council on World Affairs and Summer on the Cuyahoga as we present a free informal networking event and reception for interns interested in international careers in the Foreign Service, the Peace Corps and beyond. Pizza will be served.
CCWA President and Ambassador Heather Hodges will provide an overview of the Foreign Service as she shares her career, including her service as the U.S. Ambassador to Ecuador and Moldova. The U.S. Department of State offers worldwide career opportunities providing an experience where you will connect with the global community, conduct diplomacy by communicating U.S. foreign policy, and explore different cultures while living and working overseas.
Charity McDonald, Co-President, Northern Ohio Returned Peace Corps Volunteers Association, will give an overview of joining the Peace Corps and discuss the opportunity to work internationally through the organization. The Peace Corps has been a leader in international development and citizen diplomacy for more than 50 years across more than 140 countries.
Amy Freedman, International Trade Specialist, U.S. Commercial Service, will explain what the Foreign Commercial Service does and outline the opportunities available to go abroad promoting trade for the U.S. government.
Camila Negret, Midwest Market Diversity Leader for PwC, has recently returned from an international assignment in Mexico and will explore what opportunities exist within the company to have an international career in the private sector.
