Cleveland Council on World Affairs Presents: A Global Dialogue Forum
CCWA’s popular How to Build a Refugee Camp event is back for a second time! Paul Frankmann, a former Exploring Humanitarian Law trainer at the American Red Cross, will lead a hands-on workshop exploring humanitarian law and the policies that protect refugees and internally displaced persons, as well as how to ethically build the camps that house them. Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, former U.S. Ambassador to Malta, will reinforce the training with real-life examples of life in refugee camps and the plight of the 65.6 million refugees and internally displaced persons living around the world.
