Facing History and Ourselves Presents: Community Conversation featuring Sonia Nazario

November 5, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Facing History and Ourselves for a Community Conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, author, and immigration reform activist Sonia Nazario. She has written about social issues for more than two decades, most recently for the Los Angeles Times. Her bestseller Enrique’s Journey chronicles her reporting on a Honduran boy’s epic journey to the U.S. in order to find his mother. By revealing the perils thousands of immigrants face each year as they attempt to reunite with their families, this book puts a face on one of the most challenging and divisive issues of our time. Told through a reporter’s eye, Enrique’s Journey offers perspectives that fall on both sides of the national dialogue on immigration.

The event is Thursday, November 5 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Lakewood Civic Auditorium. Click here to register for FREE.
