EU – U.S. Free Trade & The Future of World Trade

March 30, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Cleveland Council on World Affairs, British Consulate-General and the European Union Delegation to the USA Presents:

Together the EU and U.S. account for almost half of the world GDP and a third of global trade. The U.S. exports $500 billion each year to the EU, and an ambitious Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) trade deal could increase U.S. exports to the EU by 37% and create 750,000 new  U.S. jobs.

This panel discussion will explore TTIP and the impact this free trade deal could have on the economy in Ohio and beyond. Panel members  include  British Consul General Stephen Bridges, Jeffrey Dafler, Vice President, Timken Company, Bernardine Van Kessel, Senior Director, Global Markets, Team NEO , and Andrew Lorenz, Director of Europe from the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office. Join us for a lively discussion  moderated by Tony Ganzer of WCPN. A complimentary lunch will be served.

This event is co-sponsored by the British Consulate-General of Chicago, the European Union Delegation to the USA, the World Affairs Councils of America and the British American Chamber of Commerce.

Location: The Wedgewood Room at the Union Club, 1211 Euclid Ave.
