Diversity and Multiculturalism in the United States
May 13, 2014 - May 17, 2014
CCWA will host an IVLP group from nine different African countries to examine multiculturalism in the U.S. In addition to focusing on the protection of human and civil rights, the group will also learn about engaging with at-risk youth and learning how to build NGOs to provide services for minority communities.
International Visitors Program
Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through the Council’s short and long-term exchange programs. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, International Visitors hosted by the Cleveland Council on World Affairs have been identified by U.S. embassies abroad as emerging leaders in their fields. The Council’s staff and volunteer “citizen diplomats” organize professional meetings, cultural events and home visits for program participants.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Ryan Ouellette, International Visitors Program Officer, at rouellette@ccwa.ccwa.org
