Debt Restructuring, Corporate Governance, and Competition in the United States
March 20 - March 24
Five financial and legal experts from China will be visiting Cleveland to gain insight of the financial and legal aspects of debt and industry restructuring in the United States. The program here will explore ways in which U.S. companies use restructuring to create efficient operations, observe corporate governance best practices, and assess the benefits of risk management, oversight, disclosure, and transparency. Sessions will include meetings with attorneys, judges, financial experts, and businesses at the Northern District of Ohio Bankruptcy Court, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the Greater Cleveland Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Cleveland State University Center for Population Dynamics, Case Western Reserve University, Jones Day Law Firm, and Ernst and Young.
