Accelerating Tech Entrepreneurship & SME Development

October 18, 2017 - October 24, 2017

Seven prominent Cambodian information technology specialists, e-Commerce professionals, and entrepreneurs will be in Northeast Ohio to gain cutting-edge industry knowledge in startup acceleration and venture capital funding. Forums with startup incubators and crowdfunders, including Crowdentials and LeanDog, coupled with site visits to Lorain County Community College and Think[Box], will detail mentoring through software development and college-based entrepreneurship-support programs. This project aims to advance Cambodia’s nascent tech startup sector while contributing to an important dialogue on inclusion efforts and government support for small/medium enterprises.

International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program

Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.

By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
