Academic Integrity in the U.S.
February 18, 2018 - February 21, 2018
An important focus among the administrators, professors, and students from the 30 plus institutes of higher learning in Northeast Ohio is to promote high standards of academic integrity. In this project for Moldovan higher education officials, common challenges in enforcing and deterring academic misconduct will be examined. A full day on Case Western Reserve University’s campus will allow visitors to meet with student leaders in the Academic Integrity Board and discuss with university officials best practices in ensuring transparent and fiscally responsible administration. Additional meetings with the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, John Carroll University’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness, and the American Association of University Professors at Cleveland State will expound upon current trends in U.S. higher education and academia’s role in contemporary society.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
