The Cleveland Council on World Affairs (CCWA) is proud to announce its 2020-2021 Hitachi Healthcare Americas Foreign Policy Forum series.

For the second year in a row, Hitachi Healthcare Americas is partnering with CCWA to support our public speaker programs. This year, we are pleased to announce that sponsorship support from Hitachi Healthcare Americas will enable CCWA to offer our virtual programs for free to the Northeast Ohio community.

“CCWA deeply appreciates the partnership that we have developed with Hitachi Healthcare Americas over the course of their involvement with the Council, and their recognition of the need to connect local community with global society to develop a harmonized world during these challenging times. This sponsorship will be of significant value this year, as it will help expand access to conversations on key global issues, which are so critically needed in our community at this moment in time,” reflects Carina Van Vliet, CCWA’s CEO.

This upcoming season will look different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will begin with virtual programming and transition to in-person forums when health authorities establish that it is safe to do so. This year’s Foreign Policy Forums explore a world reshaped by the global pandemic, as well as evolving geopolitical trends that matter for the United States.

The series kicks off on September 23, 2020 with a program entitled Global Health and Pandemics – A World Reshaped by COVID-19 with Thomas J. Bollyky, a leading national expert in global health.

CCWA’s Fall 2020 Foreign Policy Forum programs include the following. More program dates and speakers will be announced throughout the year.
