Council Welcomes new Director of Development

We are pleased to welcome Jennifer Weber as our new Director of Development. Jennifer is in charge of creating and implementing all aspects of Fund Development including individual major donor, corporate contributions and legacy giving.  Jennifer will work closely with our members and contributors to help the Council grow and the donor’s realize their philanthropic goals. The Cleveland Council on World Affairs relies on the generosity of its supporters for a significant amount of financial support each year and having a dedicated staff member working on development will allow us to continue to provide excellent programming.

Jennifer comes to us from the Sisters of Charity Health System, where she worked for 4 years where she had a wide variety of Fundraising responsibilities for various entities owned by the Sisters of Charity. Prior to that position, Jennifer served as the Executive Director of the Cathedral Foundation in Covington, Kentucky and prior to that Executive Director of the Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati. Jennifer has had a life-long passion for international issues which began when she received a scholarship to be a high school Rotary Exchange student to Japan.  Jennifer lived in Japan two additional times as a business intern and as a corporate staff member at the world headquarters of the Bridgestone Corporation in Tokyo, Japan.

Jennifer lives in Aurora with her husband Ed and two young children, Eddie and Audrey.  Her interest in International topics includes a love of international foods which she enjoys cooking and especially eating.  If you think you have a great new food find, give Jennifer a call.  She’s always ready for an interesting lunch!
