Host International Visitors in your Home

One of the best experiences for an international visitor is to be part of an American household during their stay in the Greater Cleveland area.

Home Hospitality Hosts play an essential role in our International Visitors Program by opening their homes to a foreign visitor for a week. While the Council is responsible for each visitor's daily program, hosts spend time in the evenings and sometimes on weekends with their international guest. Hosting a visitor in your home is a wonderful way for you to share our American culture and an excellent opportunity to learn about another country!

Dinner Hospitality Hosts open their homes to an international visitor for only one evening. The majority of our visitors stay in hotels during their program. An invitation to a meal in an American household is a special experience to learn about the United States, our lives and traditions. Hosts are asked to pick up and return the visitor to their downtown hotel. An evening spent with a foreign visitor is an excellent way for you and your family to share your home and to interact with someone from another culture.
