The Multi-Stakeholder Model of Cyber Space
December 6 - December 9
Cleveland is home to a robust information and communications infrastructure and cyber security safeguards. For instance, InfraGard, a national Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) program, began at the Cleveland Field Office in 1996. Over the course of two days, delegates from Vietnam will explore such public-private information sharing initiatives such as InfraGard along with other programs in Northeast Ohio dedicated to maintaining an interoperable, secure, and open cyberspace. Meetings, site visits, and information sharing sessions will allow Vietnamese officials to gain insight on the model of cyberspace protection in Cleveland and the U.S.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
