Strategies for Global Transparency and Accountability – Addressing Misperceptions of Corruption
March 22 - March 26
Six participants from India are scheduled to visit Cleveland for a global transparency and accountability program in March this year. The participants will explore the city’s best practices for promoting transparency and accountability in all sectors of society. The group will meet with the Inspector General to discuss measures that strengthen ethical conduct in economic development and government agencies. While in Cleveland, visitors will also explore additional resources that examine the effect of transparency on the city’s trade, investment, and development.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 250 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at email@example.com or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
