Empowering Youth Through the Performing Arts
April 18 - April 24
Performing artists and art promoters from Jordan, Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia will be in Cleveland to examine arts-based outreach programs for youth. Meetings and opportunities to observe arts programs with organizations such as Cleveland Public Theatre, the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, and the Rainey Institute will expose visitors to unique arts initiatives that engage underserved youth in Cleveland. Visitors will have an opportunity to share their own artistic talents at a Global Arts community event being arranged at St. John’s Church in Ohio City. Click here for additional information.
International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program
Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.
By connecting with foreign leaders we strengthen Northeast Ohio’s commercial, cultural, and educational ties with the rest of the world. For more information, contact Katie Ferman, Program Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here. To get involved as a Citizen Diplomat, click here.
