TIME FRAME:  (beginning in March 2014 through mid-August 2014)

Responsible for identifying, recruiting, vetting and orienting three to five home-stay hosts for an academic year youth exchange program,  30 home-stay hosts for two short-term summer youth programs, and approximately 25 hosts for a two-night weekend program ( early August, however, the program is not confirmed)

The Recruiter will be responsible for:

Outreach Efforts and Marketing
·         Conduct outreach to targeted schools, work with school officials to set up school assemblies, classroom presentations, and other events to promote home hosting
·         Deliver presentations on the various hosting opportunities at school assemblies, in classroom presentations, and at other identified community events
·         Identify and present to community organizations whose membership may be receptive to learning about hosting opportunities for outreach
·         Identify and attend community events in targeted communities to publicize hosting opportunities
·         Conduct outreach to CCWA’s member and volunteer base and former home-stay hosts
·         Update and modify marketing materials as needed

Manage Application Processes
·         Monitor and manage CCWA’s online home-stay host application site
·         Follow-up with home-stay host  applicants; conduct initial phone screenings;  insure applications are fully completed; process background checks; conduct reference checks; and conduct  home visits while maintaining the proper documentation required by the Department of State

Student –Host Family Matching, Orientation and Support for Host Families
·         Assist program officer in the final selection of qualified home-stay hosts
·         Assist program officer in matching students/adults with the home-stay hosts
·         Prepare acknowledgement letters for accepted home-stay hosts
·         Plan and conduct orientation sessions for home-stay hosts
·         Support the arrival of students/adults and their introduction to their home-stay hosts
·         Conduct telephone interviews with home-stay hosts at a scheduled intervals during the short-term programs to ensure there are no issues
·         Meet with student/adults at scheduled intervals during the short-term programs to discuss adaptation with home-stay hosts and to aid in communication and resolution of any issues

The ideal contractor will possess:
Maturity to interact with adult hosts and international visitors, both adults and students
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, verbal, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, coordinate and manage own work
Sensitivity and awareness of cross cultural issues
Personal experience in hosting or having been a hosted student/adult in a cross cultural environment
Experience in recruiting volunteers and/or sales experience
